Core Influences
I have remained adaptable and eager to evolve throughout my life. Compassionate outflows to others has been a constant throughout my journey in the form of multi-media art creations; prolific and inspirational writings; transmitting knowledge and skills regarding the Complete Practice of Yoga and channeling healing capacities through therapeutic massage, Reiki, and hypnotherapy.
I currently integrate my creative background and scholarly dedication completely to my spiritual self-practice and transmitting guidance and healing to others. I have traveled for 32 years, throughout the world , exploring a spectrum of cultures, philosophies and have studied with many masters…many wonderful transmitters of truth and joy.
In these years of various modalities of spiritual exploration, I understand that there is a myriad of expressions that a person of depth and spiritual immersion can manifest in the world. At times the methods of immersion and the methods of sharing ones path of spirit with others may take on various and unlikely contexts. I have lived with the following truth: The path of realization is not a formula nor does it belong to a specific culture, race, gender, religion or class.
Practices that guide all of us toward greater self-knowledge are inherent to us all, as human beings. The way we choose to explore and express them are as uniquely varied as the beautiful diversity that defines us as unique expressions of the divine.
My greatest teacher has been years of self-practice and fearless conscious evolution. Through that process of insight and with the transmissions that I have been blessed with by the teachers in my life… I understand and passionately offer to others that the highest ‘Maha Guru’ is one’s inner infinity.
In these three decades of outer exploration the journey through inner space has been significant. I have hungrily studied a wide array of texts and explored the synergy of my eclectic influences through consistent and diligent self-practice and self-inquiry. Now it is an overflow like a wellspring of experience that, over time, synthesized with the skills and knowledge from a plethora of teachers from around the world.
In teaching and healing practices I integrate elements of Hatha, Asthanga, Kundalini, Kriya Yoga and Traditional Tantra yoga Asana, Pranayama and meditation with Tibetan meditation, Reiki and transpersonal Hypnotherapy. The most poignant influences that shaped my consciousness are the following teachers:
Prolific international eclectic yoga master, Ram Giri Baba (Randall O’Leary) has been my teacher and dear friend for over 30 years.
I spent a year practicing Tibetan Buddhist meditation with Master Eveli Sabatie of Morocco who now teaches in Tucson Arizona.
I spent significant time in Mysore studying directly with Guru-ji BNS Iyengar integrating Vedic philosophy, Asthanga asana practice, advanced pranayama and mantras, kriyas and mudras into my broad spectrum of experience and skill.
I completed a 200 hour teacher training in Rishikesh, India with Yogi Harish Chandra of Atri Yoga Center.
I spent several months in a rare and treasured monastic immersion, deepening my practice and theory of mantra, meditation, puja/ritual, subtle-body awareness, therapeutic asana and kundalini pranayama in Varanasi, India at Om Shanthi Yoga Niketan with the joyous and deeply knowledgable, Guru-ji Raju Vapai. rajvajpayeeyogi@gmail.com +91 9580570071
I completed a month of teacher training immersion in the Traditional Tantra and Kaola method of Vedic asana and pranayama with Bhagavan Shri Shanmukha Anantha Natha and Shri Ma Kristina Baird at Shri Kali ashram in south India.
I spent significant time immersed with direct and deeply influential transmission in meditation, healing and Reiki initiations 1 and 2 with Master Swami Sagar Shrestha founder of Om Family Ashram in Pokhara, Nepal.
I completed a 500 hour yoga therapy training course in Rishikesh, India at The Association for Yoga and Meditation
I received the Reiki Master initiation with Ma Rita Shanti, Sigred Rubens in Rishikesh India.
